JANUARY 2022 – Spokane, WA – Lakeside Companies has announced the acquisition of Markham Homes in late 2021. This acquisition will add to portfolio company Architerra’s reach as a home builder and community developer into Washington and Idaho. The integration of these two entities will expand Architerra’s footprint bringing together resources to support the growth of both companies from home builders to market leaders in the Pacific Northwest.
Architerra is a leading community developer in North Idaho with Foxtail, The Trails, Echelon Village, The Parkllyn and several master-plan communities in the pipeline. Markham has established itself as a trusted, high-quality home builder over the last 19 years with both custom-built homes and communities including Haven Heights and Canterbury Bluff.

Several additional planned communities will break ground in 2022 and planning has begun for the 1,040 Coeur Terre development that sits in the heart of Kootenai County. In addition to for-sale communities, Architerra has also expanded into Single Family Rental’s with Echelon Village offering flexible rental options while still bringing the quality and community feel of other Architerra developments.
