Architerra recently presented the Kootenai Humane Society with a check for $33,000. A portion of every home sold in 2022 was earmarked for this wonderful cause to make this donation possible. The Kootenai Humane Society provides critical services to the Coeur d’Alene area, and the team at Architerra loves supporting this local charity that has such a big impact on the region.

The Architerra team loves animals, and we know that pets are a huge part of a family and home. Whether it’s the warm devotion of your dog begging for treats as you enjoy an evening at home in the living room or the ever-present family cat surveying a messy dinner scene plotting how to snatch a bite of chicken, pets bring something special to a family. Home is Where Life Happens and our furry family members are a huge part of that.

In addition to the proceeds from home sales, John J. Hemmingson, founder of Lakeside Companies and owner of Architerra, has also donated $250,000 to the Kootenai Humane Society. John is also a dog lover, whose own adorable pooch – Hailey Hemmingson – was adopted in Hailey, ID. You can read more about Architerra’s ongoing partnership with the Kootenai Humane Society here.

KHS is currently in the middle of a capital campaign to fund the nearly complete construction of their new facility. This facility expands the capacity for KHS, a no kill shelter, and will provide more space for veterinary, critical care, and other key services. January 10th, 2023Coeur d’Alene, ID – Architerra and Selkirk Construction have announced they will be strategically combining in 2023 to strengthen both organizations and provide more options to home buyers. By combining Selkirk’s expertise in the custom on-your-lot home building and Architerra’s regional reach as a leading developer of thoughtfully planned neighborhoods, home buyers will have expanded options to build the home of their dreams in our communities or on their own land.

Building and buying a home is a deeply personal journey and a one-size-fits-all approach leaves buyers to desire more. This partnership expands what’s possible for home buyers by adding flexibility for buyers to get a home that fits their unique preferences and meets the needs of their family and lifestyle. Home buyers will now have the flexibility to select from a wide array of professionally designed plans and customize their floor plans with popular structural options. From there, homebuyers can further personalize their home by selecting from premium products and stylish finishes that match their unique lifestyle and budget.

“Selkirk’s focus on providing the best home-buying experience and exceptional homes deeply aligns with Architerra’s belief that homes are the center of our lives and are Where Life Happens.” – says Lisa Briner, CFO of Architerra. “We are excited to combine the two companies’ expertise to continue bringing elevated home and neighborhood options to the Inland Northwest.”

“We are very excited about the opportunity to recognize and satisfy this much-needed sector of the market. We see this as a tremendous opportunity for home buyers moving forward. Traditionally, there are two options when building a home: A full custom experience, or a limited production experience with few choices. Although both experiences have their place, we know home buyers desire more.  Together, we can now offer home buyers an experience and a level of personalization that makes their home building journey engaging and enjoyable whether building on their own land or in one of our highly sought-after communities.” says Tyler Haug, Founder & CEO of Selkirk Construction.

If you are in the market for a new home and are ready to build a home that fits your lifestyle; now is the time! For more information on home building and buying opportunities, please reach out: 208-216-1701 or [email protected]

What Does This Mean for Selkirk Construction & Architerra?

Selkirk and Architerra have already been collaborating on several other projects, including the Parkllyn Estates. This and all existing projects and agreements under both companies will continue as previously planned with expanded resource pools as the two companies combine. Selkirk is moving from their current office location to the new combined office located at 1859 N Lakewood Dr Suite 200, Coeur d’Alene. The two companies will now offer home buyers a diverse array of home building and buying options that will fill a much-needed gap in our regional market.

Happy 2023! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season.

If you’re like us, you probably can’t believe it’s 2023 already. While the housing market took some wild turns in 2022 and everyone is busy speculating on what might happen in 2023, we are excited for what the future has in store. Why is that? We have several big projects and initiatives this year that we are passionate about. So, without further ado, here are our top three things Architerra is looking forward to in 2023!

One: The Enclave

We have a beautiful new community coming this year in the Enclave. This gated community will be next door to the Trails, and if you live in the area you will see that the first several homes have already started going up. The Enclave will offer pickleball courts, a community garden, biking paths that link into the areas extensive trail network, and upscale homes with features we can’t wait to unveil (hint: wolf appliances among other things)! We just got back these beautiful renderings of what you can expect the community to look like and couldn’t be more excited to see it come to fruition in 2023. You can learn more about this community here.

Two: Your Home, Your Way

It might be counterintuitive, but we actually think the market being slower is a great thing. Our buyers get more options and we get to have more fun personalizing homes! Both our Foxtail and Trails communities are offering the “Your Home, Your Way”  pre-sales program this year which allows buyers to select floor plans, interior decor options, upgrades and more. We know that buying a home is a deeply personal journey, and our in-house design team is ready to help you make your home perfect.

Carri Berglund leads the design team at Architerra and is ready to help you get your home, your way!

Three: The Parkllyn

Our Parkllyn development will really come into its own in 2023. This project actually consists of three projects in one: Echelon Village, our single family homes for lease, the Parkllyn Estates – homes perfect for those who need a little extra garage space, and the Parkllyn, which encompasses homes, two parks, and a system of walking paths!  With our Dig Park completed in 2022 and the Windmill marker installed in December, this community is really coming together in 2023!
